I’m not a gear snob - but if I have a Squier I want to pay a Squier price and I don’t want an aftermarket Fender logo on it.
I receive the item, flip the headstock over and it says right on the back “made in Indonesia”. Seller, who doesn’t sell a lot of guitars says go for it. So, I tell the seller my concern and say I’m going to do a SN check when I get it. I ask the seller for a pic of the other side of the headstock before I pay and the seller says the item is boxed and he doesn’t want to unpack it. Guitar is 25 years old - maybe it wore off. Seller has fantastic feedback so I feel ok. Everything else looked good - no picture of the other side. A little part of the headstock logo the “made in USA” was missing. I got notified I was the high bidder with about 12 hours to go or whatever and took a closer look at the pictures and got worried. It was an oddly worded post but I thought it looked interesting enough to try my luck so I set my max bid at $5 or $6 over min bid. I placed a bid on eBay for what I believed to be a a Fender California Fat Tele.
